About Dr. Hays

Catherine (Katie) Hays, D.O. is a Midwest native who moved to Tampa Bay for residency and happily decided to stay in the Tampa Bay area after her residency training. She received her medical training at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating in May of 2016. She then received her residency training through the St. Petersburg General Hospital/LECOM residency training program (June 2016-June 2019) where she had her post-doctoral training in outpatient/inpatient family and internal medicine which also included several rotations in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, integrative medicine, and geriatrics as well. During her residency she led the quality improvement project, titled “Project PUP,” which involved successfully partnering with Project PUP and bringing a therapy dog to St. Petersburg General Hospital. She was also an active leader in the resident wellness committee, also was nominated for Resident of the Year by the hospital nursing staff. During her residency, she also spent her elective rotations with Dr. Bellinger; working with and learning from her at both the clinic and two skilled nursing facilities.

Board Certifications and Licensures for Dr. Hays include both Family Medicine and OMT board certifications as of March of 2019 by the American Board of Family Physicians and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and holds a state of Florida Osteopathic Physician medical license.
